We canned applesauce this weekend. I'm so glad. We were running out, and the apples were ripe, and we've got stuff going on every weekend for the rest of
Speaking of only, we only have two more weeks of crazy, crazy, crazy busy. Only two more weeks of needing to leave the house to pick up a kid every day right at supper-making time--MC's football season is almost over. Then it'll just be crazy, crazy busy.
Here's what's on the menu this week:
Supper:
- Sausage pinwheels (I usually double the sausage and I always forget the chives), carrots
- Mexican quinoa with grilled chicken
- Fend for yourself and/or breakfast
- Wildtree bacon wrapped apple BBQ chicken, roasted Brussels sprouts
- Hot dogs or brats, buns, chips, grilled green veggie, caramel apple salad (leftover from last week)
- Hamburgers, buns, chips, carrots
- Sunday night stew served over mashed potatoes (actually on Sunday this time)
- Shepherd's pie, applesauce
Other:
- Cocoa roasted almonds (didn't get to it last week, but I'm hopeful I will this week)
- Apple pie (using this recipe for the filling, and this recipe for the topping, 'cause that's the way my friend KT does it)
- Taco bean soup
- Cookies of some sort. Maybe snickerdoodles.
