Menu plan for the week of October 9

Here's what's on the menu this week:

Supper:

• Shepherd's pie, applesauce
• Hot beef sandwiches (similar to this recipe), buns, tossed salad
• Grilled ham & cheese sandwiches, carrots, fresh fruit
• Slow cooker meatloaf with carrots & potatoes, bread & butter, applesauce
• Pizza, tossed salad
• Meat sauce with spaghetti, green beans, garlic toast
• Nachos, taco toppings, guacamole
• Tator tot casserole, bread, applesauce

Other:

• The family requested I make an apple pie for them, too.  (using this recipe for the filling, and this recipe for the topping, 'cause that's the way my friend KT does it)
• Taco bean soup
• Slow cooker creamy chicken and wild rice soup
