Tuesday's Tip: Foaming Hand Soap

If you've been reading my blog since before the school year ended, you've heard me talk rave about Valerie of Frugal Family Fun Blog and her fun and frugal projects.  I find her blog to be so inspiring, and I try many of the projects she highlights.  As much as I've said about Valerie over the past several months, I may not have told you how I stumbled upon Frugal Family Fun Blog.
It all started with the Dora the Explorer foaming soap dispenser.  It was an exceptional price.  It might have even been free.  And so I bought it.  And we discovered that foaming hand soap is so much better than regular hand soap.  It's foamy.  It's soap.  It makes it fun to wash your hands.  If you've ever tried it, you know what I'm saying is true.  And it is so much more expensive than regular hand soap. *sigh*  And so, when we finished our bottle, I set out to find a way to make my own foaming hand soap at home et voila! my love affair with Frugal Family Fun Blog was born.

Here's Valerie's recipe:
To an empty foaming hand soap dispenser, add 2 1/2 tablespoons of your favorite bodywash (or the el cheapo bodywash that you want to get rid of).  Fill the rest of the container with water, put on the top securely, and shake, shake, shake!  Then shake some more.

That's it!  Can you believe how easy that is?  Enjoy!

P.S. Just in case you're wondering, you do not have to shake it every time you use it--it stays foamy from the original shaking.
