About Me

I've been thinking I needed to do an "About Me" page for quite a while now, but I haven't been quite sure what I wanted to say.  So, after much contemplation and soul-searching, consideration, deliberation, and reflection, even, I've decided that my "About Me" should tell you things about me.

One thing you should know about me is, I tend to over-think things and make them more difficult than they need to be.  Oh, and I spend a good portion of my time laughing at myself over my various neuroses what a nut I am.

Anyway...  The number one thing I want you to know is:

I am not perfect.  Never have been.  Never will be.
(Which is not to say that I don't want to be...)
I think you probably already know this about me, but I wanted to put it out there, just in case you ever start to wonder...

Some other things you should know:

~Creating and maintaining a dust-free home is not a priority for me.  Same goes for removing cobwebs.  And I do not do windows.

~I have parking anxiety.  Don't laugh.  It's a serious problem.

~Sometimes (especially in the winter), I don't shave my legs for months.

~I love getting rid of stuff.  I love getting rid of stuff so much, I'm surprised we have anything left.  And yet, every couple of months, I have another 5 or so big garbage bags full of stuff to get rid of.

~My favorite color is blue.  But ask me again tomorrow--you might get a different answer.

~I don't know what I want to be when I grow up.  Maybe a blogger.  But that sounds like too much work.

~I hear voices in my head.  And I talk back to them.  They rarely listen.

~I have a love/hate relationship with coupons.  I have a hate/hate relationship with shopping.

~I love change.   At least, I love change over which I have control, like rearranging furniture, or changing my blog background.

~My children are both the greatest source of joy and the greatest source of frustration in my life.

~My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 46:10: "Be still, and know that I am God."
