Buses in honor of the first day of school |
OK, so I'm fudging it a little bit. Those three pictures up there ^ , they were taken on three different days, in reverse order. Because *someone* isn't on top of these things. It took until day 3 before poor AKD had his "first day of school" picture taken. Not that he would have minded one. little. bit. had we just skipped it entirely. Hopefully this is not how the whole rest of the school year will go...
Have you been wondering about our little
pumpkin escape artist? Well, here it is. Not so little anymore, is it?

Yum! |
To make your own school bus (I got the idea from
The Happy Home Fairy), spread yellow frosting on a whole graham cracker. Split an Oreo or other chocolate sandwich cookie in half and attach for wheels. Use square cereal (I used cinnamon toast crunch, but you could use Chex or Quaker oatmeal squares) to make windows.
I suppose if you want to get extra fancy, you could use red hots for lights, and maybe cut a red fruit roll-up into an octagon for a stop sign, and use black frosting to write your child's bus number or whatever. Me? Not in a fancy mood that day :)
